Frequently Asked Questions

What devices can I complete the online training on?

You can take any health and safety course on any device. You can start the course on any computer, tablet or phone and even switch devices if you decide to pause and resume later on. You or your employees can take the online theory from anywhere, on any computer or mobile device.

I can't move past a module, why?

Each course is designed for the best learning methods. Because of this, you will not be able to proceed unless you watch every module from start to finish. If you try to skip (even a second) it will force you to retake the module again.

What if I Fail?

Each person is given 3 attempts at the final exam. If you fail those, you will be required to retake the course all over again. This is to ensure that what is taught has been absorbed with the learner. Currently, we have a 98.9% success rate. So if you listen, partake in the interactive modules, you will do just fine :).

Why is online theory better than in-class theory?

In-class theory can be very inconsistent. An instructor most likely teaches theory differently every time, possibly forgetting to mention important points, and the scariest part – you would never know.

Online theory is taught the same way every time – with a mix of video, text, and interactive exercises – so everyone can learn their way.

Is training online OSHA or CSA approved?

There is no operator course in North America that is OSHA or CSA Approved. However, all of our courses are OSHA and CSA Compliant, which is the only thing you can be.

eLearning is a great way to complete the theory portion rather than being stuck in a classroom. It saves time, money and more importantly, the learner can learn the course in their own language or at their own pace.

Practical evaluations are always required, but these can be completed at the company site. eLearning / online training helps reduce training time and helps companies everywhere become more efficient.

During COVID-19, we have seen even more reasons why eLearning serves a massive benefit.

Why should I train online?

      • There is no waiting- training, results and certificates are available 24/7

      • Progress review. With our corporate multi-seat licenses, you can track your employees progress and results through every step of their training process

      • Dollars stay spent on training! With online training, you know for sure that all training dollars are spent on actual training! External training (onsite) and in-class training costs are padded with hotel stays, overhead and travel costs.

      • Now your in-house instructors time can be used wisely! Most of the time, your in-house trainer has other responsibilities! They could be a warehouse manager, a health and safety manager, in addition to their instructor responsibilities etc. Repeated days of in-class training are taking them away from their core responsibilities. Your instructor now has the ability to focus on evaluating their operators, instead of teaching theory classes. Recertification doesn’t have to be a long process to be done right!

      • Quality- every employee will receive the same level of training, every time! We agree, the usual PowerPoint courses for online training are ineffective and boring! Our courses are interactive, animated, provide a live voice, video, and sketches to explain principles of heavy machinery better than even the best instructor. We also offer courses in multiple languages to ensure an employee can take a course in a language that’s most comfortable for them.

      • Instructors are available 24/7- have a question? Ask us! We offer instructor support for every course

      • Most importantly, not everyone learns the same way. Employees can learn at their own pace, in a way that works for them. After all, employee safety is the most important outcome of any training course. Let them retain their own way!

Train The Trainer PLUS+ FAQ's

How will Train the Trainer PLUS+ save my company money?

Train the Trainer PLUS+ saves your company money because you will never have to shut down production to have your operators trained. Practical evaluations can be completed by you or your in-house evaluator at your facility. Many employers don’t realize the actual cost of their Train the Trainer programs. When all factors are considered, including possible travel and time taken away from other responsibilities, these programs can be expensive and disruptive.

Do I have to be a Trainer / Instructor to certify my employees?

Although our theory does all the heavy lifting, we always recommend that whomever becomes the in-house trainer, they should have extensive knowledge of the equipment in the facility and have been an operator for a minimum of 3 years. Past training experience or evaluation experience is highly recommended.

How can I search to find products on the website?

Soleat populo saperet eu per, tale lorem tractatos ex nec, per posse viris probatus ad. Omnes partem accusamus duo cu, no has movet eloquentiam, et tota malis nemore pri. Cu causae appareat per, id essent option mei.

Eam id reformidans voluptatibus, ubique instructior vix ad. Te velit maluisset aliquando his, harum postea deleniti ius eu. Pri agam omnis sententiae eu, ne timeam eripuit sed.

How long does it take to do a practical evaluation?

Practical evaluations can be performed in as little as 10 mins. The system grades the evaluations and generates certificates instantly, but an effective evaluation takes time – we don’t recommend rushing them.

How is Train the Trainer PLUS+ different than Train the Trainer?

Many companies use Train the Trainer programs to allow one or more in-house trainers to ensure the company’s current forklift operators remain certified; but unless you are regularly training new, inexperienced forklift operators, a full Train the Trainer program can be excessive. In reality, experienced operators only require recertification, which merely consists of a theory refresher and a practical evaluation.

Train the Trainer PLUS+ streamlines both of these processes.

If your company does train new operators frequently, Train the Trainer PLUS+ improves this process by automating most of the new operator training. While no online program can replace hands-on practical training, our Train the Trainer PLUS+ program streamlines the theory and evaluation portions of forklift training, meaning your trainer only needs to worry about performing practical training. No more shutting down production to run large theory classes; no more paperwork; no more having to remember when each operator’s certificate expires, no more updating your theory course with the latest legislation updates – Train the Trainer PLUS+ does all of that automatically.

How will I know when an operator’s certificate is going to expire?

You will receive a notification one month before your operator’s certification is about to expire. A new theory invite can then be sent out so the recertification process can begin.
