What is microlearning? Microlearning is a way to deliver training programs or classes in small but highly focused pieces. Most modules are about 10 minutes long. In comparison, traditionally these same training modules were 45 minutes long each. This was due to teaching students everything rather than what they truly need to know. Filling student's heads with mindless phrases or even section numbers (ie. Section 6 or irrelevant numbers) is not effective and will have students hang on to those points rather than the most important ones. Our technical writers along with our instructors were able to remove the content that students don't need to know and focused on what they DO need to know. Our goal is to create the best eLearning courses that teach students the safest way to operate equipment in a way they can always remember.
When should I use Lockout/Tag-Out Lockout/Tag-out is essential when it comes to operating equipment or servicing equipment. If the piece of equipment you are using shouldn't be used, you need to lock out and tag out that piece of equipment so someone else doesn't hurt themselves. If you leave it, someone could operate it and severely hurt themselves! Make sure that you are inspecting the equipment or looking for hazards and if you find a serious hazard, then make sure you or someone else doesn't use that equipment.
